Hello y’all! This past week I traveled to Tampa, Florida for work and I decided to make a trip out of it since I have always been wanting to visit! I brought Lara with me and we had 24 hours filled with adventures all over Tampa! I wanted to share a suggested itinerary for all of the trendy spots to hit while you’re in the city! Feel free to watch my vlog as well! (This itinerary is not the exact one I went by, I changed the order for efficiency).
10:00am Salvador Dali Museum
This museum is located in St. Petersburg so it is a half an hour drive from USF area, that is without traffic! Do not go here during rush hour because that half an hour trip quickly turned into a whole hour because I forgot it was rush hour, so go in the morning!
12:00pm Hyde Park Village
Get lunch here! We ate at Bar Taco and I highly recommend their Mexican corn and plantains. After that, we walked around and grabbed coffee/ matcha at Buddy Brew. If you’re into aesthetically pleasing places, Buddy Brew will be your heaven!
1:30pm Armture Works
I didn’t know what to expect with this place since I am guessing it is newish due to the lack of information on the web about it! It reminded me of a smaller Ponce City Market! The vibes inside were so cool, and if you want to eat here I’d recommend going for a late snack, lunch or dinner. The view from their outside patio is beautiful so you could snap a few pictures before you go!
3:00pm Go shopping at International Mall!
6:00pm Green Lemon
My friends recommended this restaurant to me, it is modern Mexican food and the tacos were DELICIOUS. We got lucky and they gave us free churros and not to be dramatic, but they were the best churros I have ever eaten. Also, I have been seeing this phone booth wall art all over my Instagram, I didn’t even know it was located in this restaurant, but I recognized it while I was using the ladies room and I freaked out! Also, there is a mural on the side of the building that says “You are beautiful”!
9:00am Tampa Riverwalk
If you’re up and wanting to enjoy the morning, then take a walk near the water!
10:00am Oxford Exchange
MAKE A RESERVATION! I didn’t want to take any chances so I booked one on Open Table about a week before, but when we went on a Wednesday it wasn’t too crowded. This was probably my favorite place we went during our visit because literally everywhere you look is an Instagram waiting to be taken. The food may be mediocre, but the ambiance is what makes it all worth it! Try to sit in the atrium for the best view and lighting. So that was it of my 24 hour trip to Tampa! Be sure to check out my vlog for more info about these places!
